The bearing steel price dropped this week. Up to Friday, the average price of continuous casting non-annealed steel nationwide was 5710 yuan/ton, 22 yuan less per ton compared with previous week, and the prevailing quotations for continuous casting non-annealed steel from the second ranking steel plants in South China was from 5,200 to 5,300 yuan/ton. There was no sign of recovery in the low trading volume this week, and the interest-cut macropolicy showed little effect of stimulation to the market, so most traders still believed in the bearish market outlook. What's worse, the steel mills also hold more negative attitude to the market outlook: some steel mills adjusted the ex-factory price of the steel products, which directly led to the downtrend of the market quotes, and further drove the market to the lowest point. As it is expected, the bearing steel price is likely to keep falling next week, and there is only slim hope for improvement in the market demand.
This week, the domestic ore iron powder market showed signs of weakening on a steady basis, and most areas experienced a small price drop of around 10 yuan/ton. The imported ore market also showed signs of weakening on a steady basis, where the tender prices of ore mines experienced slight price rebound, and the deal was relatively light. The marine market kept going up for the fourth consecutive week with bigger rise. The domestic pig iron market remains the vulnerable operation, where the deal was light, a few areas experoenced slight price drop, and the stock level bore no big change compared with last week. The direct reduction iron market was in the vulnerable operation as a whole, where the spot price experienced slight adjustment in some areas, and the turnover situation in the downstream market remained weak. This week, the domestic steel billet market took the trend of vulnerable consolidation. The domestic scrap market continued the vulnerable consolidation state, where slight decline in price arose in some areas with the range of 10-30 yuan/ton. The domestic PCI coal market showed the weak performance in the downward trend, where the coal price kept falling, and the trading volume was low. The anthracite enterprises in Shanxi Province adjusted the anthracite price while the price in other areas remained steady. The main players in the themal coal market ran in the weak tendency. The coking coal market as a whole continued the vulnerable operation in the downward trend, where the turnover was in the doldrums. The imported coal market continued the weak tendency, where the deal was light, and the quoted price of some varieties kept falling. The coke market continued the downtrend, where the range of price drop slightly narrowed. The commom alloy market mainly operated in the vulnerable consolidation trend. The whole special alloy market experienced price drop with some varieties in the state of vulnerable consolidation.
[East China Region] This week, the price of bearing steel in East China market slightly decreased, and the market deal was common. Up to this weekend, the quotations in Hangzhou market are as follows: Xinye GCr15Φ50-70 non-annealed steel was 5250 yuan/ton; Echeng Steel GCr15Φ30-75 heat-treated non-annealed steel was 5,200 yuan/ton; Shanghai No.5 Steel Plant GCr15Φ26-70 heat-treated spheroidizing annealed steel was 7,300 yuan/ton; Xingcheng Steel GCr15Φ50 non-annealed steel was 5,600 yuan/ton, less stock; Nanjing Steel Group GCr15Φ16-40 heat-treated non-annealed steel was 5,250 yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ30-95 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was 5,300 yuan/ton; Shougang Group GCr15Φ50 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was out of stock. This week, the bearing steel price in Wuxi market slightly declined, and the deal was common; Up to this weekend, the quotations in Wuxi market are as follows: Xingcheng Steel GCr15Φ30-75 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was 5,600 yuan/ton, out of stock; Xinyegang Steel GCr15Φ30-50 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,050 yuan/ton; Beiman Steel GCr15Φ40-75 heat-treated annealed steel was 6,100 yuan/ton; Wuxi Huarun Steel GCr15Φ50-80 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was 5,250 yuan/ton, less stock; Nanjing Steel GCr15Φ50 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was around 5,250 yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ40-75 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was 5,300 yuan/ton.
[Central South China Region] This week, the bearing steel price fell in Luoyang market and the deal was light. Up to this weekend, the quotations in Luoyang market are as follows: Shijiazhuang Steel GCr15Φ16-50 heat-treated annealed steel was 6,200 yuan/ton and GCr15Φ24-50 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,450 yuan/ton; Xinyegang Steel GCr15Φ50-130 die-casting non-annealed steel was 7,700 yuan/ton, out of stock; Changcheng Special Steel GCr15Φ45 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,200 yuan/ton, out of stock, and the die-casting non-annealed steel was 5,350 to 5,400 yuan/ton; Xining Steel GCr15Φ25-70 continuous casting non-annealed steal was 5,400 yuan/ton. This week, the bearing steel price in Wuhan market was stable for temporary and the deal was common. Echeng Steel GCr15Φ14-30 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,400 yuan/ton; Xinyegang Steel GCr15Φ80-110 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 6,000 yuan/ton, GCr15Φ40-75 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,950 yuan/ton, and the die-casting annealed steel was 7,800 yuan/ton.
[North China Region] This week, the bearing steel prices in Shenyang market fell and the deal was common. Up to this weekend, Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ25-60 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,300 yuan/ton, out of stock; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ25-40 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,100 yuan/ton; Benxi Steel Φ70-130 continuous casting steel was 5,100 yuan/ton, Benxi Steel GCr15Φ150-180 die-casting annealed steel was 7,200 yuan/ton. This week, the bearing steel price in Harbin market maintained stable and the deal was common. Benxi Steel GCr15Φ50-75 heat-treated annealed steel was 6,900 yuan/ton, out of stock; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ50 heat-treated annealed steel was out of stock; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ40-75 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,750 yuan/ton.
[Southwest China Region] This week, the bearing steel price in Chengdu market was temporarily stable and the market resources were not sufficient. Up to this weekend, Xinyegang Steel GCr15Φ50 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 6100 yuan/ton, Changcheng Steel GCr15Φ80-130 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,950 yuan/ton; Xining Steel Φ150-200 die-casting annealed steel was 7,800 yuan/ton, out of stock; Xining Steel GCr15Φ30-75 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,500 yuan/ton, less stock. This week, the bearing steel prices in Chongqing market kept stable. Donghua Special Steel GCr15Φ20-30 heat-treated annealed steel was out of stock; Xining Steel Φ80-120 rolled annealed steel was 6,600 yuan/ton, out of stock; Changcheng Steel GCr15Φ30-65 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 6,050 yuan/ton, some of GCr15Φ30-65 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,600 yuan/ton; Xining Steel Φ80-150 forged annealed steel was 7,600 yuan/ton, less stock.
