The bearing steel price further dropped this week. Up to Friday, the average price of continuous casting non-annealed steel nationwide was 5350 yuan/ton, 61 yuan less per ton compared with previous week, and the prevailing quotations for continuous casting non-annealed steel from the second ranking steel plants in South China was from 4650 to 4750 yuan/ton. The average price of die-casting annealed steel was 8029 yuan/ton, remained the same as that in previous week. The bearing steel market showed the trend of slow decline this week influenced by the overall steel market, where the market transactions were still light, traders became more pessimistic and held negative view of the market outlook. Although some steel mills have plans for overhaul of production lines and blast furnaces in August, few of them are willing to substantially reduce the output of steel, which make it difficult to induce a substantive change in the market environment. It is expected that the bearing steel market will further go down next week, and it is difficult to get warm in a short term.
The price in the domestic ore iron powder market fell slightly this week, the price of steel billet building materials experienced small rebound, and the trading volume became lower. The imported ore market took the "first go uo and then down" trend, where the turnover was relatively good in the first half of the week, but became weak in the second half. The price in marine market kept falling for the fourth consecutive weekly, and the range further expanded. The pig iron market was still in the vulnerable operation, and the transactions showed no improvement. The direct reduction iron market was in the vulnerable operation, where the spot market quote of some varieties dropped, and the downstream purchase tendency was still small. The domestic steel market took the "first go uo and then down" trend in the form of an inverted '√'. The downtrend in the scrap steel market slowed down, the whole market was in the small consolidation trend and looked quiet. The price of coking coal generally dropped. The imported coal market remained weak, where the deal was still light, the port inventories were high, and the shipments were slow. The commom alloy market mainly operated in the vulnerable consolidation trend, where the prices of some varieties declined. The whole special alloy market experienced price drop with some varieties in the state of vulnerable consolidation.
[East China Region] This week, the price of bearing steel in East China market further declined, and the market deal was light. Up to this weekend, the quotations in Hangzhou market are as follows: Xinye GCr15Φ50-70 non-annealed steel was 4,700 yuan/ton; Echeng Steel GCr15Φ30-75 heat-treated non-annealed steel was 4700 yuan/ton; Shanghai No.5 Steel Plant GCr15Φ26-70 heat-treated spheroidizing annealed steel was 7,300 yuan/ton; Xingcheng Steel GCr15Φ50 non-annealed steel was 4,800 yuan/ton, less stock; Nanjing Steel Group GCr15Φ16-40 heat-treated non-annealed steel was 4,700 yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ30-95 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was 4,800 yuan/ton; Shougang Group GCr15Φ50 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was out of stock. This week, the bearing steel price in Wuxi market also dropped, and the deal was common; Up to this weekend, the quotations in Wuxi market are as follows: Xingcheng Steel GCr15Φ30-75 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was 5,000 yuan/ton, out of stock; Xinyegang Steel GCr15Φ30-50 continuous casting annealed steel was 5,750 yuan/ton; Beiman Steel GCr15Φ40-75 heat-treated annealed steel was 5,800 yuan/ton; Wuxi Huarun Steel GCr15Φ50-80 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was 4,750 yuan/ton, less stock; Nanjing Steel GCr15Φ50 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was around 4,700 yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ40-75 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was 4,800yuan/ton.
[Central South China Region] This week, the bearing steel price fell in Luoyang market and the deal was light. Up to this weekend, the quotations in Luoyang market are as follows: Shijiazhuang Steel GCr15Φ16-50 heat-treated annealed steel was 5,900 yuan/ton and the GCr15Φ24-50 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,100 yuan/ton; Xinyegang Steel GCr15Φ50-130 die-casting non-annealed steel was 7,600 yuan/ton, out of stock; Changcheng Special Steel GCr15Φ45 continuous casting annealed steel was 5,800 yuan/ton, out of stock, and the die-casting non-annealed steel was 5,000 yuan/ton; Xining Steel GCr15Φ25-70 continuous casting non-annealed steal was 5,050 yuan/ton. This week, the bearing steel price in Wuhan market went down and the deal was common. Echeng Steel GCr15Φ14-30 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,100 yuan/ton; Xinyegang Steel GCr15Φ80-110 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,750 yuan/ton, GCr15Φ40-75 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,700 yuan/ton, and the die-casting annealed steel was 7,500 yuan/ton.
[North China Region] This week, the bearing steel price in Shenyang market fell and the deal was common. Up to this weekend, Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ25-60 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 4,900 yuan/ton, out of stock; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ25-40 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,000 yuan/ton; Benxi Steel Φ70-130 continuous casting steel was 4,750 yuan/ton, Benxi Steel GCr15Φ150-180 die-casting annealed steel was 7,200 yuan/ton. This week, the bearing steel price in Harbin market dropped and the deal was common. Benxi Steel GCr15Φ50-75 heat-treated annealed steel was 6,600 yuan/ton, out of stock; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ50 heat-treated annealed steel was out of stock; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ40-75 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,200 yuan/ton.
[Southwest China Region] This week, the bearing steel price in Chengdu market dropped and the market resources were not sufficient. Up to this weekend, Xinyegang Steel GCr15Φ50 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5850 yuan/ton, Changcheng Steel GCr15Φ80-130 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,950 yuan/ton; Xining Steel Φ150-200 die-casting annealed steel was 7,800 yuan/ton, out of stock; Xining Steel GCr15Φ30-75 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,500 yuan/ton, less stock. This week, the bearing steel prices in Chongqing market dropped. Donghua Special Steel GCr15Φ20-30 heat-treated annealed steel was out of stock; Xining Steel Φ80-120 rolled annealed steel was 6,600 yuan/ton, out of stock; Changcheng Steel GCr15Φ30-65 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,800 yuan/ton; Xining Steel Φ80-150 forged annealed steel was 7,600 yuan/ton, less stock.
