The bearing steel price further dropped this week. Up to Friday, the average price of continuous casting non-annealed steel nationwide was 5196 yuan/ton, 44 yuan down per ton compared with previous week, and the prevailing quotations for continuous casting non-annealed steel from the second ranking steel plants in South China was from 4350 to 4600 yuan/ton. The average price of die-casting annealed steel was 8021 yuan/ton. The price of construction materials somewhat picked up this week, and the market sentiment was improved. However, this had little impact on the downtrend of price in the grade steel market or bearing steel market. The transactions remained sluggish, combined with soft demand and high inventories. The price in south market decline significantly, while traders in North market were still waiting for Benxi Steel to launce the adjustment policy though the range of price drop was expected to fall dramatically. It is expected that the bearing steel market will further go down next week, and it is difficult to get warm in a short term.
The price in domestic ore iron powder market firstly ran stably and then fell this week, and the market mentality became increasingly pessimistic as large mines cut the ex-factory price of ore iron powder. The imported ore market remained sluggish. Fewer deal was made as the price of mine tenders further declined, and some small traders began to sell the goods at low price due to capital stress while most traders still prefered to wait and see. The price in marine market kept falling for the sixth consecutive week. The pig iron market went down in the vulnerable operation, and the deal was light. The direct reduction iron market was in the vulnerable operation, where the spot market turnover remained light, and the quoted price in mainstream markets of some areas dropped. The domestic steel market continued the weak tendency, the price in most areas somewhat fell in the range of 40-100 yuan/ton, the deal was light, and the industry was covered by the pessimistic atmosphere. The domestic steel market was mainly in the state of narrow consolidation, the deal was common, and no significant change in trading was noticed from market fundamentals. Both the commom and special alloy markets experienced slight drop in price.
[East China Region] This week, the price of bearing steel in East China market further declined, and the market deal was light. Up to this weekend, the quotations in Hangzhou market are as follows: Xinye GCr15Φ50-70 non-annealed steel was 4,350 yuan/ton; Echeng Steel GCr15Φ30-75 heat-treated non-annealed steel was 4300 yuan/ton; Shanghai No.5 Steel Plant GCr15Φ26-70 heat-treated spheroidizing annealed steel was 7,300 yuan/ton; Xingcheng Steel GCr15Φ50 non-annealed steel was 4,850 yuan/ton, less stock; Nanjing Steel Group GCr15Φ16-40 heat-treated non-annealed steel was 4,450 yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ30-95 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was 4,650 yuan/ton; Shougang Group GCr15Φ50 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was out of stock. This week, the bearing steel price in Wuxi market also dropped, and the deal was common; Up to this weekend, the quotations in Wuxi market are as follows: Xingcheng Steel GCr15Φ30-75 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was 4,900 yuan/ton, out of stock; Xinyegang Steel GCr15Φ30-50 continuous casting annealed steel was 5,550 yuan/ton; Beiman Steel GCr15Φ40-75 heat-treated annealed steel was 5,600 yuan/ton; Wuxi Huarun Steel GCr15Φ50-80 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was 4,650 yuan/ton, less stock; Nanjing Steel GCr15Φ50 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was around 4,550 yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ40-75 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was 4,700 yuan/ton.
[Central South China Region] This week, the bearing steel price fell in Luoyang market and the deal was light. Up to this weekend, the quotations in Luoyang market are as follows: Shijiazhuang Steel GCr15Φ16-50 heat-treated annealed steel was 5,700 yuan/ton and the GCr15Φ24-50 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 4,850 yuan/ton; Xinyegang Steel GCr15Φ50-130 die-casting non-annealed steel was 7,600 yuan/ton, out of stock; Changcheng Special Steel GCr15Φ45 continuous casting annealed steel was 5,600 yuan/ton, out of stock, and the die-casting non-annealed steel was 4,950 yuan/ton; Xining Steel GCr15Φ25-70 continuous casting non-annealed steal was 4,850 yuan/ton. This week, the bearing steel price in Wuhan market went down and the deal was common. Echeng Steel GCr15Φ14-30 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 4,950 yuan/ton; Xinyegang Steel GCr15Φ80-110 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,600 yuan/ton, GCr15Φ40-75 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,550 yuan/ton, and the die-casting annealed steel was 7,400 yuan/ton.
[North China Region] This week, the bearing steel price in Shenyang market was temporarily stable and the deal was common. Up to this weekend, Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ25-60 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 4,850 yuan/ton, out of stock; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ25-40 continuous casting annealed steel was 5,800 yuan/ton; Benxi Steel Φ70-130 continuous casting steel was 4,750 yuan/ton, Benxi Steel GCr15Φ150-180 die-casting annealed steel was 7,200 yuan/ton. This week, the bearing steel price in Harbin market was temporarily stable and the deal was common. Benxi Steel GCr15Φ50-75 heat-treated annealed steel was 6,600 yuan/ton, out of stock; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ50 heat-treated annealed steel was out of stock; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ40-75 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,100 yuan/ton.
[Southwest China Region] This week, the bearing steel price in Chengdu market slightly dropped and the market resources were not sufficient. Up to this weekend, Xinyegang Steel GCr15Φ50 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5750 yuan/ton, Changcheng Steel GCr15Φ80-130 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,950 yuan/ton; Xining Steel Φ150-200 die-casting annealed steel was 7,800 yuan/ton, out of stock; Xining Steel GCr15Φ30-75 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,500 yuan/ton, less stock. This week, the bearing steel prices in Chongqing market also slightly dropped. Donghua Special Steel GCr15Φ20-30 heat-treated annealed steel was out of stock; Xining Steel Φ80-120 rolled annealed steel was 6,600 yuan/ton, out of stock; Changcheng Steel GCr15Φ30-65 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,700 yuan/ton; Xining Steel Φ80-150 forged annealed steel was 7,600 yuan/ton, less stock.
