The bearing steel price further dropped this week. Up to Friday, the average price of continuous casting non-annealed steel nationwide was 5068 yuan/ton, 64 yuan down per ton compared with previous week, and the prevailing quotations for continuous casting non-annealed steel from the second ranking steel plants in South China was from 4250 to 4500 yuan/ton. The average price of die-casting annealed steel was 7986 yuan/ton, 35 yuan down per ton compared with previous week. Under the influence of adjustment on ex-factory price of bearing steel made by several large steel mills in north China, the steel price in northern market showed greater drop compared with the southern market this week, but the overall turnover was still poor, the same with the shipment. The market confidence slumped, and the downstream enterprises were in face of serious shortage of orders, so they showed less purcurement desire, which had direct affect on the mentality of traders. Market participants mainly now hold pessimistic attitude to the market outlook, and the price in bearing steel market is expected to continue the downtrend next week.
This week, the transaction prices in domestic ore fine iron powder market remained the downtrend under external pressures. The imported ore markets fell significantly as the same last week. The price in the marine market rose after restrain, and BDI returned to the historically low level with no signs of bottoming out. The pig iron market remained weak operation with no improvement in transactions. The direct reduction iron spot market operated in the vulnerable state as a whole, where the spot transactions in all regins were poor with no fluctuations in the mainstream market. The price of steel billet fell all the way down slowly, and the turnover was sluggish. The scrap steel market was still in the down trend, and except the central, southwest, northwest areas, other places all experienced price drop in the range of20-100 yuan/ton. The PCI coal market continued the downward trend, where the price drop was in the range of 10-105 yuan/ton, and the deal was light. The anthracite market ran stably as a whole, and the deal was common without change in price. The thermal coal market operated in the vulnerable state. The coking coal market continued the downward trend, and the deal was light. The imported coal market also continued the downward trend, and the range of price drop widened significantly compared with the previous month. The coke market continued to callback, the ex-factory price and arrival-at-factory price of coke in main production and consumption areas both declined sharply, with the price drop in most areas up to 100 yuan/ton and above. The ordinary alloy and special alloy markets both remained the vulnerable operation, and traders were lack of market confidence.
[East China Region] This week, the price of bearing steel in East China market further declined, and the market deal was light. Up to this weekend, the quotations in Hangzhou market are as follows: Xinye GCr15Φ50-70 non-annealed steel was 4,250 yuan/ton; Echeng Steel GCr15Φ30-75 heat-treated non-annealed steel was 4250 yuan/ton; Shanghai No.5 Steel Plant GCr15Φ26-70 heat-treated spheroidizing annealed steel was 7,300 yuan/ton; Xingcheng Steel GCr15Φ50 non-annealed steel was 4,750 yuan/ton, less stock; Nanjing Steel Group GCr15Φ16-40 heat-treated non-annealed steel was 4,350 yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ30-95 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was 4,500 yuan/ton; Shougang Group GCr15Φ50 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was out of stock. This week, the bearing steel price in Wuxi market also dropped, and the deal was common; Up to this weekend, the quotations in Wuxi market are as follows: Xingcheng Steel GCr15Φ30-75 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was 4,750 yuan/ton, out of stock; Xinyegang Steel GCr15Φ30-50 continuous casting annealed steel was 5,400 yuan/ton; Beiman Steel GCr15Φ40-75 heat-treated annealed steel was 5,450 yuan/ton; Wuxi Huarun Steel GCr15Φ50-80 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was 4,500 yuan/ton, less stock; Nanjing Steel GCr15Φ50 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was around 4,400 yuan/ton; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ40-75 hot-rolled non-annealed steel was 4,550 yuan/ton.
[Central South China Region] This week, the bearing steel price fell in Luoyang market and the deal was light. Up to this weekend, the quotations in Luoyang market are as follows: Shijiazhuang Steel GCr15Φ16-50 heat-treated annealed steel was 5,500 yuan/ton and the GCr15Φ24-50 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 4,750 yuan/ton; Xinyegang Steel GCr15Φ50-130 die-casting non-annealed steel was 7,600 yuan/ton, out of stock; Changcheng Special Steel GCr15Φ45 continuous casting annealed steel was 5,400 yuan/ton, out of stock, and the die-casting non-annealed steel was 4,900 yuan/ton; Xining Steel GCr15Φ25-70 continuous casting non-annealed steal was 4,750 yuan/ton. This week, the bearing steel price in Wuhan market went down and the deal was common. Echeng Steel GCr15Φ14-30 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 4,900 yuan/ton; Xinyegang Steel GCr15Φ80-110 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,550 yuan/ton, GCr15Φ40-75 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,500 yuan/ton, and the die-casting annealed steel was 7,300 yuan/ton.
[North China Region] This week, the bearing steel price in Shenyang market sharply declined and the deal was common. Up to this weekend, Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ25-60 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 4,600 yuan/ton, out of stock; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ25-40 continuous casting annealed steel was 5,800 yuan/ton; Benxi Steel Φ70-130 continuous casting steel was 4,300 yuan/ton, Benxi Steel GCr15Φ150-180 die-casting annealed steel was 6,600 yuan/ton. This week, the bearing steel price in Harbin market dropped and the deal was common. Benxi Steel GCr15Φ50-75 heat-treated annealed steel was 6,600 yuan/ton, out of stock; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ50 heat-treated annealed steel was out of stock; Dongbei Special Steel GCr15Φ40-75 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,000 yuan/ton.
[Southwest China Region] This week, the bearing steel price in Chengdu market dropped and the market resources were not sufficient. Up to this weekend, Xinyegang Steel GCr15Φ50 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5700 yuan/ton, Changcheng Steel GCr15Φ80-130 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,850 yuan/ton; Xining Steel Φ150-200 die-casting annealed steel was 7,700 yuan/ton, out of stock; Xining Steel GCr15Φ30-75 continuous casting annealed steel was 6,400 yuan/ton, less stock. This week, the bearing steel prices in Chongqing market also slightly dropped. Donghua Special Steel GCr15Φ20-30 heat-treated annealed steel was out of stock; Xining Steel Φ80-120 rolled annealed steel was 6,500 yuan/ton, out of stock; Changcheng Steel GCr15Φ30-65 continuous casting non-annealed steel was 5,650 yuan/ton; Xining Steel Φ80-150 forged annealed steel was 7,500 yuan/ton, less stock.
