The RKB Group has developed a new line of filling plugs (suffix W77) to improve the protection efficiency of the standard spherical roller bearings operating in applications of the cement Industry. Plugged bearings dramatically decrease the detrimental effects of the suspended dust particles typical of the workplaces where such machines are usually run, in which tight fit in housing and adjacent labyrinth seals are not enough to prevent foreign matter from entering. The main material used for W77 plugs is a special bronze alloy expressly studied and conceived for this protecting purpose.
