Minebea Co., Ltd. hereby announces that it terminated a sponsor agreement as of today, as outlined below, which was concluded with SHICOH CO., LTD. (hereinafter "SHICOH"), a company that filed an application with the Tokyo District Court for civil rehabilitation proceedings dated August 10, 2012. 1. The fact of unsuccessful consultation regarding the assistance As announced through a press release dated August 10, 2012, "Notice regarding the Conclusion of a Sponsor Agreement with SHICOH CO., LTD.," Minebea entered into a sponsor agreement with SHICOH as of the same day, based on the premise of offering assistance toward the rehabilitation proceedings, and provided them with consultation regarding business revitalization policy, etc. However, as of this moment, an agreement has not been made between SHICOH and Minebea regarding business revitalization policy, etc. and is not expected to be made in the future, either. Therefore, although it is quite regrettable, Minebea terminated the said sponsor agreement as of today. 2. Impact to financial performance This has no impact to our earnings forecast.
