International bearing-distribution company opens location in Flint

Bearing Distributors Inc. – a Cleveland, Ohio-based company – announced the opening of a new branch in Flint that will serve businesses in central and Southeastern Michigan. The BDI branch is located at 4184 Pier North Blvd. The company did not specify whether it would be hiring employees for the new location, but said the move was to be closer to the markets they serve. “Our new Flint branch supports several large customers associated with the automotive industry,” says BDI-USA President John Ruth. “This presence allows BDI to bring our solutions-driven service model closer to our customers.” With 180 locations across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Europe and Asia, BDI services manufacturing companies throughout the world. The company is known as a leader in the distribution and application of bearings, mechanical power transmission, electrical power transmission, linear motion, fluid power, material handling, industrial and safety products. Value-added services offered by BDI include inventory and supply chain optimization, advanced technical support, documented cost savings and end-user training.
