Igus will showcase its tribo-polymer bearings, energy chains and cables at the Machine Building Show on 25–26 September 2013 at the NEC in Birmingham.
Visitors to Stand G11 will be able to see live demonstrations of Igus’s maintenance-free bearings, as well as its energy chains and Chainflex continuous-flex cables for machine builders.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet the company’s polymer specialists to learn how to optimise processes and reduce costs through the use of plastic components.
Products on show
WJRM double-hybrid bearing
* This Drylin polymer bearing is lubricant and maintenance free over its lifetime
* It provides excellent friction and wear values
* It is resistant to dirt, water, chemicals and extreme temperature
* The WJRM combines roller and plain bearings
* It is suitable for use on sliding machine tool doors, machine guards and control panels
* The product’s smooth-running design consists of sliding pads made from the Iglidur J plastic bearing material, which absorbs all shear and misuse forces
* The rail is made from hard anodised aluminium
Range of linear guide systems
* These are chip and debris resistant
* They are also maintenance free and 100 per cent lubrication free
* The systems are claimed to provide a cost-effective solution compared with metal alternatives
Range of energy chains
* The energy chains are made from high-performance plastics
* They are resistant to corrosion and impact
* They offer high ultraviolet, temperature and precipitation stability over long working lives
* The R4L light enclosed energy chains also provide maximum protection against debris and chips accumulation and operate smoothly; as such, they are particularly suitable for housing * cables found in machines
* They can be delivered directly to the machine as ready-to-fit units, known as Readychains
CFRIP cable
* This product is designed to strip back long lengths of cable quickly and easily
* With just a few steps, the outer jacket of a CFRIP cable can be opened like a zipper to the desired length by pulling the special tear strip
* Machine builders and electrical engineers can save 50 per cent of the cable-stripping time typically required using conventional methods
