The first batch of supply agreement of BTW1 medium manganese steel, which signed by Baosteel Special Steel and a certain large-scaled coal group based in the north of China, has been put into contract, marking the products of wear-resisting steel plate of medium manganese steel made by Baosteel Special Steel has been launched into the market. The medium manganese wear-resistant steel plate, that is, BTW1 is a new kind of austenitic steel, which is recently developed by Baosteel Special Steel successfully, featured with excellent performance in wear resistance and it is easy to be processed by being cut and welded, this product is mainly designed to head for the market of steel for manufacturing the special equipment in coal industry. However, since the products had been launched into the market in 2013, a significant reduction in coal output, thus, it had a very negative impact on consumption demands for the steel products from the coal making companies, therefore, in order to reduce its risks and costs, the end customers started to conduct so-called on-trial using process before they make the purchase orders officially. Even if we confronted with the above-mentioned difficulties, the Marketing and Sales Department of Baosteel Special Steel assisted with the Technology Center of Baosteel Special Steel and the Manufacturing Management Department, by means of adopting the marketing strategy of technology plus sales, we had started to provide the supply of on-trial products to the several key customers in the industry of manufacturing coal making machines and mining machinery; So far, these plate products had been recognized and accepted by the domestic users gradually, and Baosteel Special Steel has sold medium manganese wear-resistant steel plates to more than 60 manufacturing enterprises of coal making machines and other end users.
