CAPS to supply Ingersoll' Rand Ultra EL lubricant

Compressed air systems are a vital component of many industrial manufacturing and mining processes, and Ingersoll says its next generation of synthetic lubricant is formulated to perform for up to 16,000 hours. Ultra EL, available in Australia from Compressed Air and Power Solutions (CAPS), allows air compressors to run cooler and more efficiently, according to the supplier. It’s designed to protect critical components, significantly reduce wear, and increase component longevity whilst enhancing overall compressor performance. CAPS says Ultra EL is best suited to high-demand, multi-shift applications. When used in demanding environments, Ultra EL halves change-out frequency, according to the supplier, minimising downtime and reducing maintenance requirements, disposal costs and environmental impact. CAPS says that unlike conventional or generic lubricants, Ultra EL will not leave deposits that can clog compressors or break down into harmful acids or alcohols that can varnish equipment. The lubricant has a higher flash point (272° C) than most synthetic lubricants. “Ultra EL is specifically engineered to deliver extremely long life with exceptional protection for rotary air compressors,” said Jan Van Der Laan, CAPS Australia’s general manager of operations. “It is fully compatible with Ingersoll Rand Ultra Coolant and can be used in all brands of rotary screw compressors.
