Baosteel Won the Ten Million Road Meritorious and Honorable Award from SGMW

A few days ago, good news came from the Supplier Conference in 2014 from SAIC-GM- Wuling Automobile Co., Ltd.( hereinafter referred to as SGMW): As one of the most main strategic suppliers of SGMW, Baosteel won the two titles from SGMW including “Excellent Supplier in 2013” and “Ten Million Road Meritorious and Honorable Award”. SGMW is Baosteel’s strategic user for many years and it derivates from Liuzhou Wuling. With the constant merger and integration of the domestic automobile industry, Liuzhou Wuling, SAIC and GM have established the joint venture of SGMW, whose automobile production has soared in recent years. Up to 2009, the company has become the first domestic single car enterprise whose annual production and sales have brokethrough millions of cars and has made remarkable achievements in which the production and sales have brokenthrough millions of cars over 5 years. By the end of the last year, both the production and sales of SGMW had brokenthrough ten millions, which has made an indelible mark in the history of the development of China’s autobile industry. As the most main strategic supplier of SGMW, for many years Baosteel has upheld the service concept of “User-centric”. At the same time of keeping the long-term close cooperation with SGMW, Baosteel actively joins hands with the users and work together to make positive efforts in the aspects such as the dropping cost of the supply chain, early intervention, process optimization and system improvement etc. and provide the high quality service in time for the users, recognized by SGMW. It is reported that the “Ten Million Road Meritorious and Honorable Award” is the special honour established by SGMW for commending the stragetic suppliers who have brokenthrough the ten millions for both the production and sales and also have made outstanding contributions.
