SKF recognized by General Motors as a 2013 Supplier of the Year Winner
Gothenburg, Sweden, 04 April, 2014: SKF was named a General Motors (GM) Supplier of the Year during its 22nd annual Supplier of the Year awards ceremony on Wednesday, March 12. This is the 5th time SKF has received the award, with the last four times during consecutive years.
“Keeping a high and consistant performance level has given us this prestigious award year after year. GM’s acknowledgement of our hard work is truly inspiring for us. We have worked together with GM to form a great partnership that delivers high value to consumers," says Mr. Tryggve Sthen, President SKF Automotive.
GM’s exclusive Supplier of the Year honor was presented to only 68 suppliers worldwide who have consistently exceeded GM’s expectations and created outstanding value.
“Our suppliers play a huge role in helping GM deliver compelling vehicles to our customers,” said Grace Lieblein, GM vice president, Global Purchasing and Supply Chain. “Supplier of the Year winners have outstanding track records for consistently meeting our business needs, while also supporting our cultural priorities.”
Less than 1 percent of GM’s suppliers around the world receive the Supplier of the Year award. Winners are recognized for delivering innovative technology, superior quality, timely crisis management and competitive, total-enterprise cost solutions.
