National bearing equipment development and application technology seminar was held in Luoyang

National bearing equipment development and application technology seminar organized by China Bearing Industry Association was held in Luoyang from 14-16 May, 2014, which attracted more than 200 representatives from the domestic leading bearing manufacturers, bearing equipment manufacturers, design institutes (TDI International Engineering Company Ltd.) and universities to come. Wang Jianyu, directorof the Equipment Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology attended the meeting and made an important speech. At the meeting, all representatives read the "Adjustment Comments on China Bearing Industry Second Five Year Plan" and "Bearing Equipment Development Guidance (draft)" offered by China Bearing Industry Association for discussions and exchanges. The representatives of TDI International Engineering Company Ltd., Luoyang Bearing Science & Technology Co., Ltd. (former Luoyang Bearing Research Institute) and Hunan University made reports on the national bearing industry development situation and bearing equipment and technology trends. The representative of China Machine Tool Industry Association made a speech about the development of machine tool industry. Convention delegates finally reached a consensus: great efforts shall be made to promote the development and application of advanced bearing equipment, and improve the quality level of such equipment to meet the development needs of high-end bearings, thus contributing to the upgrading of China bearing industry.
