Bimetal Bearings standalone quarterly profit declines 29.99%

Bimetal Bearings said a steep drop in standalone net profit for the quarter ended March 2014. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 29.99% to Rs 15.74 million from Rs 22.48 million in the same quarter previous year. Net sales for the quarter declined 5.85% to Rs 391.61 million, compared with Rs 415.95 million for the prior year period. Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 4.11, registering 30.10% decline over previous year period. Shares of the company declined Rs 5.85, or 2.31%, to settle at Rs 247.00. The total volume of shares traded was 1,626 at the BSE (Monday).
