Czech Leaders Give a Positive Check on TaeguTec Tools

For the Czech Republic, a country with a very long history of machining metal to create products used in everyday life, industrial production is as important for their economy as it has always been.
In today’s highly competitive European Union economy, companies in the Czech Republic stand out by creating quality goods that are used in products sold the world over.
To assist Czech companies in getting the most out of their TaeguTec cutting tools, the Asian metalworking giant invited about 30 of the country’s industrial leaders to a week-long seminar.
During the various demonstrations, Czech customers were shown how fast and effective TaeguTec tools are when machining virtually any type of material used in the automotive, aerospace, rail, power generation, wind power, mold and die, medical and miniature sectors.
“I am happy I came because we are in the process of retooling our factory so we had a few questions regarding which TaeguTec tool would best be suited to machine the different steels we have,” said Thomas, a Czech tooling manager who requested to only be mentioned by his first name.
“We make rail parts and wheels used in trains and metros so we are looking at ways to increase productivity and lower our cost because of the competition we are feeling from Asian companies that produce the same parts,” Thomas said.
In 2010, according to the Czech Statistic Office, 54.2 percent of exports were from products used in the automotive industry so it was very important for most of the participants that attended the customer seminar to gather information concerning the right tools needed to handle milling, drilling, cutting and turning operations.
“We produce many different kinds of parts for (automotive company) and they want those parts yesterday yet we have to remember that we are a medium size shop and cost is very important so this seminar answered questions we had about some new products that we could use to cut cost and increase productivity,” said Milos who wished to be mentioned by his given name.
For Milos, TaeguTec’s new flat-bottom DrillRush was a welcomed addition to the line. Previously, machinists at Milos’ company needed to perform two steps in order to achieve a flat bottom in their hole making operations.
Now, with the addition of the newest member of the DrillRush family, which is coated with TaeguTec’s exclusive TT9080 PVD grade, Milos believes he can cut on cycle and set-up times.
“What I also like about the DrillRush is its wear resistance, chipping resistance and in my factory, it lasts the longest,” he added.
Petr, another manager who requested to be mentioned by his first name, came to see the newest members of the RhinoRush family: the DNUX and WNMX insert types and the T-Holder.
“We have saved almost 40 percent in our production cost since we switched to RhinoRush,” Petre said. “You can imagine how curious I am about the newest developments in the line and now, I am certain that we can continue our relationship with these newest tools.”
Petr as well as Milos, and a few other participants, were also very attentive when TaeguTec engineers ran demonstrations on the new Chase2Hepta Mini 6 millimeter insert.
The Chase2Hepta line is renowned for its 14 corners on one insert. On top of this, the double-sided and highly effective 45 degrees entry angle is the ideal solution for high performance on cast iron and steel machining, all factors that impressed participants looking for a small insert for milling operations.
