Xiwang Steel to set up bearing steel R&D centre with partner

Xiwang Special Steel said it has entered into a technical cooperation agreement with Luoyang Bearing Research Centre Company Limited in respect of the establishment of the "Bearing Steel Research and Development Centre" for a term of five years. Xiwang shall provide the production conditions and the cooperation partner shall be responsible for inspection and promotion. The parties aim that, within five years from the date of the agreement, the high quality GCr15 bearing steel, being one of the products produced by Xiwang Group, could reach the Swedish SKF (Svenska Kullagerfabriken AB) and USA TMK standards and the annual sales volume of the high quality GCr15 bearing steel could reach over 500,000 tonnes. GCr15 bearing steel bar is mainly supplied to the advanced manufacturing industry and the strategic emerging industries, which require high standard bearing materials.
