Brother Gearmotors Opens Manufacturing Facility

Brother Gearmotors, a division of Brother International Corporation, recently announced the opening of its new world-class manufacturing facility, based in Bartlett, TN. From this new, centrally located and state-of-the-art manufacturing facility with both ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2001 certification, Brother Gearmotors will provide its customers with new capabilities including faster product assembly and delivery. With added technology and space, Brother Gearmotors will be able to shrink lead times – from order placement to shipping – to an estimated three to five days. With a higher level of service and a broader product mix, Brother Gearmotors will offer new, additional capabilities including 16 different ratio options and six voltage options.
Lisa Myers, purchasing manager at FP Developments, Williamstown, NJ, is very excited about the new manufacturing facility opening. “At FP Developments, we’ve used many products in our 50+ years of custom machine building,” said Myers. “Over that time, we’ve replaced many gearmotors with Brother, and it’s become our standard. Brother’s high-efficiency gearmotors have allowed us to reduce our customers’ electrical consumption. The sealed units have eliminated service calls for leaky gearboxes. Brother’s high standards, as evidenced by their ISO certifications, ensure we receive a quality product which we then, in turn, pass on to our customers. Many of our projects have quick turn-around requirements, so we’re very excited about the new facility opening and look forward to providing Brother gearmotors to all of our customers. We are extremely confident with Brother gearmotors and look forward to many more years of business with them.”
