China has become the emerging exporter of wind turbines

Just ten years ago, wind power equipment in China is still largely dependent on imports, but now China has become an emerging exporter of wind turbines. Learned from the "Offshore Wind China Conference & Exhibition 2014" held from July 2 to 4, seven wind power equipment manufacturers of China realized a total export volume of 341 units of wind turbines and installed capacity of 692,000 kilowatts in 2013, increased by respectively 51.1% and 60.8% over the previous year. This is the highest level in the wind power industy since 2008. According to the statistics released by China Renewable Energy Association Commission, from 2008 to 2013, China exported 748 wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 1.392 million kilowatts to 27 countries and regions, including the United States, Australia, Ethiopia, Italy, Turkey, Pakistan, Bulgaria and Chile.
