Milton Roy Showcases Newly Redesigned SOLAROY Metering Pumps at Turbomachinery Pump Symposia in Houston

Milton Roy, the world’s largest manufacturer of controlled volume pumps, and a brand of Accudyne Industries, today announced enhancements to its SOLAROY® series of solar powered metering pumps. The pumps are on display in booth #407 at the Turbomachinery Pump Symposia, taking place September 23-25, at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston.
The SOLAROY® series of chemical injection pumps are designed for harsh environments and remote locations where power is not available. A solar panel is used to charge a 12 volt battery which powers the metering pumps to deliver corrosion inhibitors and other chemicals that improve flow and enhance product recovery for shale oil and gas extraction.
The SOLAROY series of pumps feature an enhanced drive specifically engineered to accommodate target-end load force. New radial bearings reduce frictional loses and increase the performance balance between torque and motor efficiency. Operational run time in batch mode has been increased from 24 to 99 hours. And new self-diagnostic capabilities make the pumps easier to maintain. As a result of these enhancements, the newly enhanced SOLAROY series of solar powered metering pumps deliver increased power and reliability while also increasing energy efficiency.
