It manufactures V-belts for industry in particular. "The newly acquired capacities in Sanmen enable us to produce a wider range of drive belts in China," explains Regina Arning, head of the Industry Segment at ContiTech Power Transmission Group. "This enables us to supply our Chinese and Asian customers much faster." The new plant complements the production site in Ninghai. At this site, ContiTech manufactures belts for the automotive sector and industry. ContiTech Power Transmission Group's drive belt range is consistently geared towards the specific requirements of ContiTech industrial partners. "We are therefore able to offer our Chinese customers optimum solutions to their problems – largely with V-belts that are produced locally and can therefore be delivered promptly," explains Arning.

Closer to our customers The production complex in Sanmen is 33,000 square meters in size, predominantly fitted out with new machines and offers space for further expansion. The production in Sanmen is only 50 kilometers away from the Ninghai site. "This creates synergies," confirms Arning. "We create even greater proximity to our Chinese customers by combining the capacities of both plants."
