Great breakthrough in China high-speed rail gearbox technology

CSR Chengdu Co., Ltd, a fully-owned subsidiary of CSR Corporation Limited, recently announced that the independently developed "CRH380A gearbox drive device" was included in the 2014 National Science and Technology Plans in the Key New Products category, and granted with a special government incentive. It is learned that more than 10,000 sets of high-speed rail gearbox have been produced by CSR Chengdu Co., Ltd, which are widely used in the Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway, Beijing-Guangzhou high-speed rail and other key high-speed rail lines. Currently, the company is the only production supplier of high-speed rail gears in China.
