Industrial Supply Vertical Vendor of the Year named by IDI
Toronto – IDI Independent Distributors Inc., Mississauga, ON, has selected Montreal-based Walter Surface Technologies as its Industrial Supply Vertical Vendor of the year for 2014. The annual award ceremony took place on January 21, 2015 at the Eaton Chelsea hotel in Toronto.
To determine the winner, IDI’s product committee first nominates its top four vendors. Then IDI’s 100 members are asked to fill out a detailed survey to rank each of the vendors on a number of criteria. Criteria include quality of the vendor program, quality of the customer service, quality of delivery, quality of the relationship, and overall value of the supplier.
“This year’s recipient, Walter Surface Technologies, richly deserved this award,” said John Morrison, vice-president of supplier relations at IDI. “Their outside sales work with our IDI distributor members and attention to these relationships at a senior management level made a difference in 2014.”
This is the third time that Walter Surface Technologies has received this award from IDI in the past 15 years, noted Morrison.
