ISBRF2015 attended by global representatives in the bearing sector(pic)
2015 International Symposium on Bearing Research Frontiers (ISBRF2015) was held in Chongqing, China, on June 25-27, 2015.
ISBRF2015 is organized by State Key Laboratory of Mechanical Transmissions (SKLMT), Chongqing University (CQU), and supported by China Bearing Industry Association (CBIA) and Shanghai Key Laboratory of Spacecraft Mechanism (SKLS).
Professors and scholars from Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Northwestern University, University of Florida and several other universities, as well as industrial representatives from foreign companies such as Schaeffler, NSK, TIMKEN, JTKET, etc. and domestic companies including ZWZ, LYC, Bearing Science & Technology, Tianma Bearing and Chongqing Changjiang Bearing, more than 100 people in total, attended the meeting.
The purpose of the meeting is to provide inspirations to the development of bearing industry in China, particularly the high-end bearings. 50 papers from participated professors and scholars were received, more than half of which involved rolling bearing basic theory, design and manufacturing technology, industrial development strategy papers, etc., indicating the growing concern on the rolling bearings in domestic bearing sector.
Presentations from scholars and industrial representatives were delivered concerning topics include, but not limited to the following:
●State of the art of research related to bearing design, manufacturing, performance evaluation, failure analysis and diagnosis;
●Critical problems identified from industrial practice and to be faced in future product developments;
●New theories and methods for rolling contact fatigue prediction and bearing life prognosis;
●Novel materials for bearing design and applications;
●Advanced technologies for bearing manufacturing and applications.
After the meeting, delegates were also invited for a visit to the SKLMT.
