Ramsey, New Jersey – For more than 20 years, ITI Tooling Co. Inc. has supplied rugged, reliable, and precision turret tooling solutions for all makes of CNC lathes including the DMG MORI range of live tool spindles.
The DMG MORI live tool spindles have been developed to complement the high speed; high torque tool turrets used on many of the NL, NT, NZ and DuraTurn series machines. These turrets use a high performance tool drive and transmission that is driven by an integral direct drive motor with minimal heat transfer and vibration.
The design of the ITI/SAUTER Live Tool Spindle Unit enhances these turret attributes with standard features such as precision alignment surfaces for rapid setups and changeovers; high-quality precision bevel gear drives to reduce heat, noise and vibration; and pre-stressed spindle bearings for high-speed and high-torque cutting operations.
Many tool spindles have a universal drive shaft for right and left hand use, plus they are designed with internal coolant up to 1,100psi to help keep the tools cool and rapidly clear chips from the work zone.
An even larger assortment of standard off-the-shelf tool turret spindle units is available for users of DMG MORI CNC lathe and mill/turn machines.
