Laiwu Steel announced successful production of GCr15 bearing steel

Special Steel Division of Laiwu Steel Group recently produced a batch of GCr15 bearing steel, all of which has been proved qualified through tests, thus laying a solid foundation for the division passing the license review for bearing steel production qualification. It is known that GCr15 bearing steel is the most demanding steel among widely used special steels, known as the "king of steel." To avoid nonmetallic inclusions, cracks and other defects, the Special Steel Division worked on ways to have electric furnace, refining furnace and VD furnace act in close coordination, and ensure strict control of steel composition and casting temperature, all which contributed to the successful production.
