Concord New Energy orders 48 MW of Goldwind turbines

Chinese firm Concord New Energy Group Ltd (HKG:0182) said Tuesday it will purchase 48 MW of turbines from domestic wind equipment maker Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology (HKG:2208). The CNY-213.6-million (USD 32.5m/EUR 29.9m) order was placed through the company’s unit Tianjin Century Concord Huaxing Wind Power Equipment Co Ltd. The purchase contract, signed on January 26, covers 24 units of 2-MW turbines along with the required hardware, software, electricity generation and control systems for them. The machines will be used for Concord New Energy’s wind scheme in Hunan province. Apart from delivering the equipment, Goldwind will also provide the technical support services for it. The buyer, previously known as China WindPower Group, makes tower tube equipment and operates, maintains and invests in wind and photovoltaic (PV) power plants. In end-July 2015, it ordered another 48 MW of Goldwind turbines for the same wind project. (CNY 1.0 = USD 0.152/EUR 0.140)
