Direct-drive linear motor for motion control applications introduced by Moticont
VAN NUYS, Calif., 5 May 2016. Moticont in Van Nuys, Calif., is introducing the SDLM-025-070-01-01 direct-drive linear motor for motion control applications like antenna positioning, door and valve actuators, semiconductor handling, inspection, agricultural equipment, and medical procedure tables.
The motor -- also known as an electric cylinder -- has a built-in encoder, zero backlash, zero cogging, and provides high acceleration, high speed, high resolution, and long life.
This motor measures 1 inch in diameter and 2.75 inches long. Inside the motor housing, the linear optical quadrature encoder is connected to the shaft for accuracy.
This motor has a stroke length of 0.5 inches, a continuous force rating of 22.2 ounces, and peak force of 67.2 ounces. This non-commutated direct-drive servo motor has quiet long life plain linear bearings, an integrated internal quadrature optical encoder with differential outputs, and a non-rotating shaft.
