China Yangtze Power: Buys German Offshore Wind Power Project

China Yangtze Power announces that China Yangtze Power International (Hong Kong), a wholly-owned subsidiary, joins hands with China Three Gorges (Europe) to take over 100% equities and EUR 3.85 million shareholders loans in BCP Meerwind Luxembourg S.a.r.l. at EUR 645.40 million. BCP Meerwind Luxembourg is a wholly-owned unit of BCP Meerwind Cayman Limited, and the latter is a unit of Blackstone. China Yangtze Power International (Hong Kong) and China Three Gorges (Europe) will hold 30% and 70% of BCP Meerwind Luxembourg after the deal is closed. BCP Meerwind Luxembourg holds 80% of WindMW GmbH, an offshore wind power project in Germany, through BCP Meerwind Germany GmbH, a wholly-owned subsidiary. The WindMW project is located in German Bay, North Sea and covers 42 square kilometers; with an installed capacity of 288MW, the project came into commercial operation in February last year.
