Das Lager Germany Sets Up Regional Office in Sudan
Khartoum -- a regional office for German based Das Lager Automobile Bearings Company has been inaugurated in Khartoum by Sudanese Minister for Industry Abdu Daoud Suleiman, in the attendance of the general manager Haroun Adeko Zal, and the Turkish ambassador to Sudan.
The inauguration of the regional office comes within efforts to attract foreign investment.
“The inauguration of a regional office for this company is regarded a leap in the field of developing relationships among Sudan, Germany and Turkey,” the minister said.
“Das Lager is specialized for bearings for planes, trucks, railway systems and factories, in accordance with international and local standards…the inauguration comes within the framework of boosting industrial bonds between Sudan and Germany,” the general manager of the company Haroun Adeko Zak said.
A seminar was held on the sideline of the inauguration ceremony on bearing industries. Mohamed Mustafa, Das Lager’s agent in Sudan, welcomed participants from sugar, cements factories as well as representatives for Sudan railway system in the seminar and commended what he called a “smart partnership”
Participants in the seminar acknowledged Das Lager’s quality products, with some citing its products and operations in Arab countries such as Algeria, Saudi Arabia other North African countries. The participants demonstrated their happiness about the inauguration of a regional office in Khartoum to supply spare parts for those countries.
