The first pilot heating project through large-sized wind power in Guazhou county in Gansu province was put into practice on March 6th . According to the head of the Energy Bureau of Guazhou county, the pilot heating that has been built is the first phase of the project. The operation of one boiler, with a capacity of 12 MW, is capable of providing heating for 1 million square meters, which consumes power for 150 million KWH.
It is known that planed and constructed by Pacific Construction Group with an investment of 400 million yuan, the project adopts Swedish high voltage electrode boiler with world highly-sophisticated technology and advanced energy storage technology according to the domestic off peak power market to provide heating through 3 high voltage electrode boilers with a capacity of 40MW and 2 heat storage tanks with a capacity of 10000 tons. After the project is completely constructed, it can provide heating for an area of 3 million square meters, annually consuming given power for 500 million KWH from new energy, saving standard coal for 43,000 tons, reducing emissions of carbon dioxide by 114,000 tons, sulfur dioxide by 370 tons, soot by 652 tons, nitrogen oxides by 322 tons.
Since last year, taking the opportunity of promoting the reform of energy supply Guazhou county has taken the lead in Gansu province in launching pilot work such as clean energy heating supply, direct purchase of power for big users, reform of electricity allocation, achieving initial results and following a path to the effective reform of new energy supply.
