Shandong Province set the largest wind power project on the west coast of Qingdao

On 16th July, with a row of giant "wind fans" slowly turning, Datang Baoshan wind power station successfully delivered the power, which symbolized that the largest wind power project in Shandong Province had been completed, begining to transport green energy to Qingdao West Coast New Area .     According to reports, Datang Baoshan wind power station is located in Qingdao West Coast New District, with a total investment of about 2.2 billion yuan, totally installed wind turbine 125 units whose capacity reach 2 megawatts. This is the largest project with the largest amount of installed capacity and the largest wind power turbine in Shandong Province and even the eastern coastal region of China.   According to reports, Datang Baoshan wind power station expected to make annual power generation reach 500 million kwh, whihc provides electricity for 40 million households every year. Compared with the heat-engine power plant, it can save 170,000 tons of coal and 1.62 million tons of water every year, especially reducing carbon dioxide emissions of 410,000 tons, 3006 tons of sulfur dioxide emissions, nitrogen oxide emissions of 4509 tons, soot emissions of 376 tons and ash 6 tons. With the Datang Baoshan wind power station functining, the West Coast new wind power installed capacity will reach 468 megawatts, and the total installed wind turbine will reach 269 units.
