2017 China Bearing Steel Market in September will continue to have upward momentum

Summary: According to the data of year-on-year growth from January to July: the yields of Chinese crude bearing steel increased by 11.81%; Bearing steel increased by 5.94%, and the export on the contrary increased by 0.97%. Turn back to the bearing steel market of August, for the time being the lowest price for casting unannealed material is 4600RMB/ton, the price for the middle is 4800RMB/ton and the highest is 6200RMB/ton. But with the major steel factory prices continue to rise, bearing steel market prices is expected to or will continue to strengthen in September.
1.The Domestic Yields of Bearing Steel
1.1 Yields of From January to July: Crude bearing steel and bearing steel all increased comparing to last year.
As the data shows from China Steel, from January to July of 2017, the yields for crude bearing steel reach to1,814,600 tons, which increased by 11.81% year-on-year growth. The yields for bearing steel meets 1,726,400 tons, which increased by 5.94% year-on-year growth. Details are shown in image 1:
1.2 The complete bearing yields of manufacturers from January to July : increased year-on-year .
As we can see from image 2,the yields from ZHONGXING Bearing Steel(XINYE and XINCHENG), JUNENG and BENTE are the top three companies ahead of others, and these three contributes 59% of the yields.The total yields of bearing steel was growing, especially for ZHONGXING Bearing Steel, JIGANG,Xing Bearing Steel, SHIGANG and JIANLONG year-on-year growth.

2.1 The Export of Bearing Steel declined year-on-year on July
Resources from 10 China bearing steel manufacturers：
From January to July , the export quantity of bearing steel was 73,395 tons, down 18,779 tons than the same period of last year. The volume decreased by 20.37% year on year. On July, the export quantity of bearing steel was 12,207tons, up 24 tons than last month.The volume increased by 0.97 % year-on-year and also increased by 0.2% comparing the last year. Image 3 shows the difference of the export since 2016, now the exporters mainly centered by XINGCHENG, DAYE and DONGTE . And XINCHENG contributes most of the volume at 11,085tons, also the biggest.
2.2 Bearing Steel Market Prices Continue to Upward on August
In August, the price of the bearing steel market continued to rise. Because of inspection of environmental protection, some bearing steel pipe mills and forge plants in Shandong,Jiangsu and Zhejiang areas are shuttered. It influences demand certainly.At present, merchants still reap profits. it is expected that in September, as the pressure of environment protection decreases and the weather improves,the bearing steel prices will mean steadily climbing surcharges.

3.1 Raw Material Price
In August, the price of imported minerals fell sharply to 77.15dollars/ton. While the market price of general carbon and rust steel remained higher to 1483RMB/ton, which was increased by 3.84% comparing with last month. The price of high carbon ferrochrome up sharply and the average price was 8750RMB/ton at the end of this month. With the influence of reduced output and environmental protection ,so in September ,the materials of the bearing steel will still up.

Statistics from China Automobile Industry Association: July, 2017, the overall sales volume decreased slightly.From January to July, both auto production and sales increased slightly year on year growth . In July, the yields of autos reach to20,594,000 units, the result is decreased by 4.98% comparing with last year, and increased by 4.76% year-on-year . Sales volume reaches to 1,971,200units, the result decreased by 9.24% comparing with last year, and increased by 6.15% year-on-year . From January to July,both yields and sales volume is 1,558,520 units and 1,532,520units. It is increased by 4.65% and4.10% year-on-year growth.
3.Conclusion
Review of the bearing steel market in August, under the influence of environmental policy implementation, the overall upward trend of the market price has been shown, but the demand decreases in some degree.
Although effective demand for downstream terminals has been controlled, the market price has been higher because of the continued push by steel mills.Given GCr15 price and 45 # carbon steel guitar spreads narrowing, ZHONGTIAN, NANGANG, JUNENG and JIANLONG steel mills in 350-450 yuan/ton, only for the moment steel mill push up momentum in the short term will not stop, the late bearing steel market prices has upward momentum.
