However Chinese steel outcome and consumption increase rapidly, experts analyzed before 2010 our steel consumption in China remain be not the peak value because we are still in the phrase of industrialization developing and we are pushed by huge economic development trend.
According to China steel industry association statistics, our steel consumption has been increasing by 30 million ton per year since 2001.
It is judged not by the certain quantity of steel consumption but the degree of relevant country ‘s achieving industrialization that steel consumption reach the peak or not. While the industrialization countries such as USA, Japan, UK and France reach the steel consumption peak, urbanization rate only account to 37.7% in 2001; while their per capita steel outcome and consumption are just about 140 kilogramme, even till to 2010 our per capita steel material consumption is expected to reach 181 kilogramme .
China is in the process of industrialization at present. The emergence of newly high increasing industry and continuous increasing trend indicate our economy are stepping into a new rapid period which will induce the development of steel industry. Experts believed that under condition of large gap compared to developed countries in per capita GDP, per capita consumption just equivalent to world average level and industrialization unrealized, to get to steel consumption peak still need a long way. Based on Chinese industrialization development situation and those industrialization countries experience, Chinese steel consumption can’t reach peak before and the requirement of steel material will be further expanded.
Experts evaluated that China will consume steel material 2500million ton in 2005, and 3100 million ton in 2010. Although there is large requirement in steel market before, experts supposed that we should adjust structure in gross output value expanding and increase gross output value in adjusting structure to avoid excessive competition ,especially executive repeat construction in the development of steel industry resistance non-balanced layout, low level repeat construction and unhealthy development on steel market.
