Although the vaccination priority for doctors was lifted at the beginning of the week, Schaeffler continues to proceed in a certain order. First, employees from production receive a vaccination offer in descending order of age. Dr. Alexander Putz, head of the Herzogenaurach plant, says: “Also because the vaccine is only available in limited quantities, we have decided to first vaccinate employees from production-related areas with compulsory attendance. Only when they have received the first vaccination do we offer a vaccination to employees who work mostly mobile in the home office. "

Theoretically, up to 800 vaccinations per week could be carried out in the vaccination center at the Herzogenaurach site, but it is not clear how many doses of vaccine will be available in the future. Schaeffler aims to fully vaccinate all interested employees by September 30, 2021.
