In recent years, China's automotive industries developed at full speed which can be regarded as a opportunity for China's bearing industry. YM Bearing Co.,Ltd seized this opportunity to develop large-size bearing for heavy trucks. Meanwhile, they improved their workmanship; upgraded their equipments.
For many years, YMB have been paying more attention to new products development and workmanship improvment and shorting the interval between developing and mass production. In 2001, research & develop center of YMB passed the certification of provincial authority, it laid a solid foudation for YMB's developing and innovation work. Then, the company established project contract system in new products developing and workmanship improvment, also came into being some corresponding encouraging methods. In addition, the company spent over millions of RMB in research and development every year; inviting experts to train the technical staffs is the regular activity. As a result, the company could gurantee that at least one new product be developed or one workmanship be improved every month. In the past 2004, there were altogether 22 new products being developed and more than 10 workmanship being improved. Due to these improvments, the company's output value hit RMB30 million; cost saved reached RMB2 million.
Equipment upgrading is also important work for YMB. In 2001, the company spent about RMB20 million to introduce 6 sets of bearing ring milling processing machines which can be regarded as the most advanced equipment in China's bearing industry. In 2004, the company spent RMB4 million to buy some advanced, high-precision and automatic numerical control lathe and mill machine.
All these equipment upgrading, new products and workmanship improvment granted YMB's products better quality and stronger competing power.
