Top 100 China Machinery Industry and Top 20 Automobile Industry in 2021

On July 28, 2021, the 17th China Machinery Industry Top 100, Automobile Industry Top 20, Components Top 30 Enterprise Information Conference was held in Deyang City, Sichuan Province.  The conference was hosted by China Federation of Machinery Industry and China Automobile Industry Association, supported by Deyang Municipal People 's Government, co-sponsored by China Machinery Industry Group Co., Ltd., Hegang Group Co., Ltd., and co-sponsored by China Machinery Economic Network, Deyang Municipal Bureau of Economic and Information Technology, Deyang Municipal Bureau of Economic Cooperation and Foreign Affairs, aiming at summarizing the achievements of machinery industry in the past year, giving further play to the leading role of key enterprises in the industry, guiding industrial enterprises to continue to be stronger, better and bigger, accelerating industrial transformation and upgrading, cultivating new momentum of development and promoting high-quality development of the industry.

Leaders and guests attending the meeting were: Wang Ruixiang, Chairman of China Machinery Industry Federation, Luo Zhibo, Member of the Standing Committee of the Deyang Municipal Committee and Executive Deputy Mayor of the Communist Party of China, Chen Bin, Executive Vice President of China Machinery Industry Federation, and Executive Vice President of China Machinery Industry Federation Song Xiaogang, Executive Vice President and Secretary-General of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers Fu Bingfeng, Deputy Secretary-General of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers Chen Shihua, Member of the Party Leadership Group of Deyang Municipal Government and First Inspector Li Chengjin, Deputy Secretary-General of Deyang Municipal Government, Zhang Jun, National Development Han Wenke, senior consultant of the Energy Research Institute of the Reform Commission, and relevant leaders of the Deyang Economic and Information Commission. In addition, there are comrades in charge of the machinery and automobile industry departments of various provinces and cities, representatives of China's top 100 machinery industry, top 20 automobile industry, and top 30 auto parts enterprises, representatives of local enterprises in Deyang City, Xinhua News Agency, Economic Daily, and Global Times , China Industry News, China Automobile News, Mechanical and Electrical Business Daily, China Mechanical and Electrical Industry, and many other news media participated in the conference. Although business representatives from some regions were unable to be present due to the epidemic, the number of participants still reached more than 200.

The conference was chaired by Song Xiaogang, Executive Vice President of China Machinery Industry Federation, Deputy Director of Machinery Industry Information Center, and Shen Bo, General Manager of China Machinery Economics Network.

In the past year, China ' s machinery industry in the face of complex and volatile external situation, in accordance with the overall deployment of the CPC Central Committee, adhere to the overall epidemic prevention and control and economic development of both hands, has made the main economic indicators rebound more than expected good results.  Last year, the added value of the machinery industry increased by 6 % year on year, higher than 3.2 and 2.6 percentage points of the national industry and manufacturing industry in the same period.  Business income is 22.85 trillion yuan, an increase of 4.49 %.  The total profit is1.46trillion yuan, an increase of10.4 %.

Since this year, the machinery industry has continued to press ahead and strive to maintain steady economic development.  From January to June, the added value of machinery industry increased by 22.3 %, 6.4 percentage points higher than the national industry.  Among the 121 major products monitored, 114 increased year-on-year, accounting for 94.21 %.  Overall, it is not easy for the machinery industry to maintain a good development trend last year.

In his speech, President Wang Ruixiang pointed out that at present, it is at a critical moment to plan the start of the new journey. In the new round of development, we will pay more attention to the development of the real economy and China ’ s high-end equipment manufacturing, pay more attention to the integration and innovation of the industrial foundation and industrial chain driven by the leading enterprises, and pay more attention to the ability construction of the mechanical industry cluster and the equipment manufacturing base, so as to promote the transformation and upgrading of the mechanical industry, improve the quality and efficiency, and accelerate the realization of the transformation from big to strong.  The new journey of building a socialist modernization country in an all-round way in China has begun, and the blueprint of the machinery industry in the ' 14th Five-Year ' has been drawn up.

At the meeting, Chen Bin, Executive Vice-President of China Machinery Industry Federation, and Chen Shihua, Deputy Secretary-General of China Automobile Industry Association, announced the list of top 100 enterprises in China ' s machinery industry, top 20 enterprises in automobile industry and top 30 enterprises in parts and components in 2021, respectively.

This year won the top three mechanical industry hundred enterprises are : Wei Chai Holding Group Co., Ltd. ( 2020 revenue 3048.83 billion yuan, the same below ), China Machinery Industry Group Co., Ltd. ( 287.813 billion yuan ), Shanghai Electric ( Group ) Corporation ( 160.630 billion yuan ).  The top three auto industry companies are Shanghai Automobile Group Co., Ltd. ( 742.132 billion yuan ), China First Automobile Group Co., Ltd. ( 697.425 billion yuan ) and Dongfeng Automobile Group Co., Ltd. ( 599.309 billion yuan ).  The top three auto parts enterprises are : Weichai Holding Group Co., Ltd. ( 249.330 billion yuan ), Huayu Automobile System Co., Ltd. ( 133.578 billion yuan ), Wanxiang Group Co., Ltd. ( 69.552 billion yuan ).

When talking about the overall operation of the machinery industry last year, Chen Bin said, ' the growth rate of industrial added value exceeded expectations last year, the main economic indicators rebounded, and the total import and export volume achieved positive growth.  Two major characteristics of mechanical industry operation in 2020 : investment products market recovery faster than consumption, profit growth is higher than operating income growth.   ’ For the future trend of the machinery industry, Chen Bin pointed out : ’ Since 2021, with the gradual improvement of China ’ s prevention and control of the new coronal epidemic, the demand market of the machinery industry continues to recover, and the operating environment continues to improve. The production of the industry continues to stabilize to a good trend last year, and the confidence of enterprises is further enhanced.  In 2021, the overall economic operation of the machinery industry will show a trend of high and low. The main economic indicators are expected : the growth rate of industrial added value is expected to be about 5.5 %, the growth rate of business income and profit is about 4 %, and the import and export of foreign trade will maintain a basic balance.   '

Chen Shihua pointed out that in June this year, automobile production and sales were completed 1.943 million and 2.015 million, respectively, a decline of 4.8 % and 5.3 %.  From January to June, production and sales of vehicles completed 12.569 million and 12.891 million, respectively, an increase of 24.2 per cent and 25.6 per cent, respectively, over the same period.  The operation characteristics of automobile industry in the first half year are as follows : the growth rate of automobile production and sales is high before and after low, the production and sales of passenger vehicles are greatly affected by chip shortage, the standard switching affects the production and sales rhythm of commercial vehicles, the production and sales of new energy vehicles continue to grow at a high speed, the automobile export growth is rapid, the inventory of enterprises continues to decline, and the economic benefit index of the industry continues to grow.  The development of the industry is still restricted by the following problems : the supply of key components such as chips continues to be tight, the price of raw materials has increased significantly in the short term, the development of new energy vehicles still has some constraints, the double integral policy still needs to be improved, and ' going out ' faces great challenges.  In view of this, car sales are expected to reach 27 million in 2021, an increase of 6.7 per cent year on year.  Among them : new energy vehicle sales are expected to reach 2.4 million, an increase of 76 per cent year on year.

In the meeting, Luo Zhibo, the Standing Committee of the CPC Deyang Municipal Committee and the Deputy Mayor, introduced the unique advantages of Deyang in the field of equipment manufacturing, as well as the investment environment and preferential policies of Deyang.  Han Wenke, a senior adviser to the Energy Research Institute of the National Development and Reform Commission, made a profound exposition on how to achieve the goal of ' double carbon ' at an early date, with the topic of ' carbon peak carbon neutrality commitments and implementation paths and their impact on industrial development '.  In order to promote exchanges and cooperation among enterprises, the organizers invited Han Xiaojun, Chairman of State Machinery Heavy Equipment Group, Secretary of Party Committee, Zhang Jilie, Deputy General Manager of Dongfang Electric Group, and Liu Guoyuan, Deputy General Engineer of Dongfeng Motor Group to share their experiences, giving full play to the leading role of key enterprises in the industry.  Zhang Caidong, vice-president manager of the sales company of Hegang Group and vice-president manager of the customer service center of Hegang Group, gave a professional explanation on steel and its application in the machinery industry.  Li Biao, industry director of Jingdong Logistics Co., Ltd., shared how to build an integrated supply chain service capability in the post-market of machinery industry driven by big data.

As one of the important activities in the same period of the 2021 Sichuan Equipment Intelligent Manufacturing International Expo, the organizers of the 17th China Top 100 Machinery Industry, Top 20 Automobile Industry and Top 30 Parts & Components Enterprise Information Dissemination specially arranged participants to jointly visit the Sichuan Equipment Intelligent Manufacturing International Expo, and intuitively understand the innovation and development achievements of high-end manufacturing industry in Sichuan Province.
