China first largest size TRB offshore wind power spindle bearing researched by ZYS was successfully put into use
On October 17, 2022, ZYS successfully completed the installation and application of the first largest TRB offshore wind power spindle bearing in China. The bearing has an outer diameter of 3200 mm, which can meet the demand for the use of the spindle bearing of 16 MW offshore wind turbine generator units. It is the first 4.5 MW TRB onshore wind turbine spindle bearing and 7 MW TRB offshore wind turbine spindle bearing bearing in China successfully developed by ZYS in 2020 and 2021 respectively, and it has been put into use on the hook. After that, it has set a new record for the installation and application of the largest size wind turbine spindle bearing of the domestic TRB series.
As the core component of wind turbine, the spindle bearing plays an important role in absorbing the aerodynamic load of the impeller and transmitting power, and is called the "heart" of wind turbine. Compared with onshore wind power, offshore wind power has a worse environment and higher technical threshold, which requires high reliability of wind turbine spindle bearing. Through repeated tests, ZYS has optimized the design of bearing materials, surface coating, contact angle, rolling element diameter and length, cage structure, etc., effectively ensuring that the spindle bearing meets the requirements of 25 years of long life and high reliability.
Since the promotion of management in June 2022, ZYS has further increased its capacity and R&D investment, which can achieve an annual capacity of 1500 sets of wind power series spindle bearing, deflection bearings, gear boxes and motor bearings respectively. At present, ZYS is jointly developing wind power spindle bearing with an external diameter of 3500mm, which can cover the demand for wind turbine generators below 20 megawatts. In the future, ZYS will continue to increase its resource investment in the field of wind power bearings, orderly expand production capacity and continue scientific research and innovation.
