VibeTech acquired by KULR Technology; KULR VIBE launched
OKK’s CNC machines are now represented by Methods Machine Tools, with direct and indirect coverage for sales, services, and support throughout Methods’ North America network. Methods began selling OKK in the U.S. in 2019 and recently expanded OKK’s coverage into the U.S. Southeast and Wisconsin.
OKK features a portfolio of 5-axis, horizontal, and vertical machining centers designed for heavy-duty cutting and large workpiece capacity, such as the HM Series used in aerospace production.
KULR Technology Group Inc. acquired VibeTech and formally launched KULR VIBE, an artificial intelligence (AI)-driven vibration reduction solution. KULR VIBE technologies use proprietary sensor processes with advanced learning algorithms to achieve precision balancing solutions and predict component failure based on a comprehensive database of vibration signatures. Enhanced AI learning algorithms pinpoint areas where excess vibrations cause a loss of energy that can lead to system malfunctions, weakened performance, and maintenance issues.
The patented technology was invented by Norm Serrano, who joins the company as senior director, Vibe Control Technologies. Serrano helped develop the first automated system for tracking and balancing for the U.S. Air Force in the 1980s.
The technology can be used standalone or paired with existing track and balance technology to facilitate vibration reduction and reduce mechanical failures. A primary application is aviation, including rotorcraft, unmanned aerial systems, and electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft.
