Recently, The international standard proposal ISO/NP 25260 "Rolling bearings-Insert bearing units" in the field of rolling bearings led by theC was formally approved by the technical committee of ISO/TC 4/SC 6 "Outer spherical bearings"
ISO/NP 25260 is led by Shaft Research Institute, Dongguan TR Bearing Co., LTD., Pan Ke Bearing Group Co., LTD., SKF (China) Co., Ltd. and other units participated in the development. This international standard proposal is the first successful project proposal of the sub-technical committee after China assumed the ISO/TC 4/SC6 secretariat, and the proposal will make the work of ISO/TC 4/SC6 more active. The proposal is also the fifth international standard proposal led by China in the field of rolling bearings and approved by the project, marking the continuous and rapid development of China's international standardization of rolling bearings.
ISO/NP 25260 is based on China's national standard GB/T 7810-2017 "Outer spherical ball bearing dimensions" and GB/T 27555-2011 "Technical Conditions for outer spherical ball bearings". It is proposed to specify the types and combinations, dimensions and technical requirements of external spherical ball bearings with seats. The proposed international standard was initially discussed at the ISO/TC 4/SC 6 Annual Meeting in May 2023 and attracted the attention of relevant countries. After drafting the draft and communicating with relevant countries and enterprises, a three-month new work project proposal was formally launched on May 20, 2024 after one year, and was supported by Germany, Japan, Austria, France, Russia and other countries, and the project was officially launched on August 26. As an important producer of spherical ball bearings with seat, China has led the development of international standards for spherical ball bearings with seat, which marks the increasing influence and discourse power of China in the product field, and helps to protect the rights and interests of such products in international trade in China.
As the lead unit of ISO/NP 25260 and the undertaking unit of the secretariat of ISO/TC 4/SC 6, the Institute will strictly follow the working process and requirements of ISO, grasp the time node of the international standard project, and organize domestic and foreign experts to jointly promote the drafting of ISO/NP 25260. Contribute China's strength to the international standardization work in the field of rolling bearings.
