LYC: innovation pioneer of Henan manufacturing industry

Bearings are known as "industrial joints", although it seems simple, but it reflects the height of the national industrial technology level. Now, let's visit the new China's first comprehensive modern bearing manufacturing enterprise - LYC through the perspective of "visiting New Henan · Great change", and witness its innovation process.

Henan Radio and television elephant news reporter Liang Yuhang reports: At this time, I am located in LYC. Here, reaming is the first step in the bearing manufacturing process. Beside me is a reamer produced in 1956, which witnessed the birth of the first automobile transmission bearing in New China.

When the company was officially put into operation, the first task it faced was to produce transmission bearings for the first cars in New China. However, equipment and technology were imported, and everything had to be built from scratch.

Li Chongchong, deputy general manager of Luoxiang Group Luoyang Luoxiang Precision Forging Heavy Industry Co., LTD., said: Our employees learn from Soviet experts during the day, and practice repeatedly in the workshop at night. By using waste materials, we quickly grasped the technical essentials. In just 20 days, we completed the production of more than 2,000 sets of bearings, and ensured that it was delivered to Beijing before the National Day in 1956, and the pass rate reached more than 80%.

In the process of undertaking major national projects, the company recognizes the importance of autonomous technology. Faced with the problem of overall technological breakthrough, they choose to start small and gradually accumulate experience.

Li Chongchong explained: We have developed a series of testing tools, many of which are still widely used in the bearing industry. Relying on this spirit of combination of diligence and wisdom, Luoxiang has developed together with New China, created a number of industry records, and repeatedly broke the international technology monopoly.

In particular, in 1982, the B3-706, B3-707 precision jig boring machine bearings produced by Luoxing won the national Gold Award, which is the only national quality product award in the bearing industry so far.

Today, Luoxiang's products have been widely used in wind power generation, rail transit, automobile manufacturing, mining metallurgy, construction machinery, medical equipment, port machinery and other fields, the product variety is rich, covering nine categories, a total of more than 30,000 species, the size range from 6 mm inside diameter to 15 meters outside diameter.

Entering a new historical stage, Luoxiang has shifted its strategic focus to the high-end bearing market. Reporter Liang Yuhang showed a new energy vehicle hub high-end bearings independently developed by Luoxiang: "This product is a hub bearing specially designed by Luoxiang for new energy vehicles, reflecting the company's highest technical level." The production line is currently the most automated in the country and can produce a set of bearings every 15 seconds."

The company has successfully developed more than 30 different models of high-end bearings for new energy vehicles, and provides supporting products for a number of domestic automobile brands, and is at the forefront of industry technology.

Du Yuhui, deputy general manager of Luoyang LYC Automotive Bearing Technology Co., LTD., Luoxiang Group, said: "We can respond quickly to market demand, from order confirmation to sample delivery, in as little as one month." In addition to making breakthroughs in the high-end market, Luoxiang has also provided key bearing support for national key construction projects such as the Three Gorges Hydropower Station, Shenzhou and Chang 'e series aerospace projects, and the South-to-North Water Diversion project, and its production of large-scale offshore wind turbine spindle bearings has reached the international leading level.
