What are the methods for measuring the accuracy of crossed roller bearings?
Crossed roller bearings are mostly used in some rotary workbenches or robotic equipment with high precision requirements. Therefore, the precision requirements for the crossed roller bearings themselves are also high. So do you know how to measure the precision of crossed roller bearings?
1. Selection of measurement position
Before measuring, the manufacturer of the cross roller bearing needs to assemble the bearing according to the regulations and tighten the bearing cover bolts according to the specified torque. Use the inner diameter gauge to calibrate the reference size on the outer diameter micrometer and then measure. Avoid the thinning area when measuring. The difference between the inner diameter of the bearing and the outer diameter of the corresponding journal is the fit clearance.
2. Bearing thickness
The fixed probe of the outside micrometer can be changed from a flat surface to a spherical surface to measure the bearing thickness. The bearing thickness should generally be controlled within the range of 0.005~0.010 mm, otherwise the bearing inner diameter will be out of tolerance. The bearing is slightly thinned near the opening, so it should be noted when measuring.
3. Coaxiality of the inner hole of the main bearing
The coaxiality error of the inner hole of the bearing is mainly caused by the coaxiality error of the bearing hole, and the cause of the coaxiality error of the bearing hole is the deformation of the cylinder body. When the radial runout of the main journal is within the specified tolerance, check the tooth marks of the main journal and the bearing. If the positions of the tooth marks of each main bearing are obviously inconsistent, it means that the coaxiality error is large. It can be solved by scraping, boring the bearing or replacing the cylinder body. Otherwise, it is difficult to ensure the normal operation of the engine.
