China Henan University of Science and Technology established a joint training platform for bearing professionals

Henan University of Science and Technology has established a bearing major since 1974. Initially, it attracted a group of technical backbones from major bearing companies across the country with a two-year course. As time went on, the school continued to expand and deepen the education system of the major. In 1986, it obtained the authorization of master's degree. In 2013, it further obtained the authorization of doctoral degree, becoming the only bearing professional college in China that can provide comprehensive education from undergraduate to postdoctoral. So far, Henan University of Science and Technology has provided more than 5,000 high-quality professionals to the society, including most of the middle and senior management and technical personnel in China's bearing industry. Therefore, it is known as the "Huangpu Military Academy in the bearing industry."

The joint training platform for bearing professional talents established this time aims to promote the organic combination of educational resources, talent training, technological innovation, industrial development and market value by strengthening the cooperation between universities, industry associations, research institutions and related enterprises, in order to improve the quality of talent training and scientific research innovation capabilities of the bearing industry and promote the progress of the entire industry.

Luoyang is unique for its "one factory, one institute, one school and one academy" layout in the field of bearings. The four components are: Luoyang Bearing Factory (started in 1954, one of the key projects of the country's "First Five-Year Plan"), Luoyang Bearing Research Institute (the only national scientific research institution in the industry), Henan University of Science and Technology (the only higher education institution specializing in bearings in the country) and China Machinery Institute No. 10 (the design department of the bearing factory of the former First Machinery Industry Ministry). In recent years, the Luoyang Municipal Government has made full use of these resources to vigorously develop the bearing industry, not only helping many companies to successfully go public, but also promoting the modernization transformation and technological upgrading of Luoyang Bearing Factory, making it a well-known bearing research and development and production base at home and abroad.

Through the establishment of this platform, not only can the demand for highly skilled talents in the bearing industry be met, but it can also help promote the deep integration of science and technology and industry, and provide strong support for the development of the bearing industry in Luoyang and even the whole country. Luoyang will continue to rely on rich scientific and educational resources and a strong industrial foundation to overcome key technical problems in the industry, accelerate the pace of localization of high-end bearing products, cultivate emerging industrial forces, and promote the bearing industry to a higher level. The goal is to build a high-end bearing industry cluster with a scale of 50 billion yuan in the next few years.
