On October 7, the reporter learned from the State Power Investment Corporation that my country's independently developed 300-megawatt F-class heavy-duty gas turbine was successfully ignited for the first time in Shanghai.

The 300-megawatt F-class heavy-duty gas turbine is my country's first independently developed heavy-duty gas turbine with the highest power and highest technical level. Its technical indicators are basically equivalent to the international mainstream F-class heavy-duty gas turbine. The new technologies, new materials, and new processes used in it have a significant radiating effect on the progress of my country's gas turbine basic disciplines and the development of industrial technology, and are of great significance to ensuring my country's energy security and green development.

It is understood that this ignition test is the first major test in the whole machine test verification phase. The main task is to verify the effectiveness of the whole machine design and manufacturing and the functional integrity of the test and test system, laying the foundation for comprehensive machine verification.

The successful ignition of the gas turbine this time is another important milestone achieved since the first prototype rolled off the assembly line in February this year, marking that the project development has fully entered the complete machine test verification stage.
