2024 Nov China International Bearing Industry Exhibition Interview Record : Focus on the bearing and transmission industry, dialogue with China famous companies, welcome pay attention to Xibei Bearing
From November 25th to 28th, the 2024 China International Bearing Industry Exhibition, hosted by the China Bearing Industry Association, was held in Halls 3 and 4 of the Shanghai International Convention and Exhibition Center. Industry leaders and outstanding companies gathered at the scene to explore new trends and new ideas for the future development of the industry.
To help China's outstanding bearing and transmission export companies develop better, CBCC together with BearingNet launched the "Dialogue with Chinese Famous Companies" interview column during the exhibition, inviting outstanding exhibitors to be guests, and jointly discuss the current hot topics in the industry, future trends and the company's own innovative practices, explore new opportunities for industry development.
During the interview, Mr. Li Chief Engineer of XiBei Bearings mentioned as follows:
1) Changes in XiBei Bearing in recent years: The company has continued to grow in R&D investment over the years, accounting for more than 7% of the company's sales. In addition, in terms of talent introduction, the company has introduced talents from various sources to enrich the company's internal technical personnel team. Third, XiBei Bearing has strengthened exchanges and cooperation with some external scientific research units, such as Xi'an Jiaotong University, Xi’an Technological University, and local North Minzu University and Ningxia University, etc have in-depth cooperation projects. The cooperation includes talent training, scientific research and development, and in-depth training of high-end talents, such as doctors and postdoctoral fellows.
2) The main products displayed at the booth of this exhibition: XiBei Bearing exhibited traditional powerful main products this time, including petroleum bearings, metallurgical bearings, railway bearings, and some engineering machinery bearings, etc., mainly with larger sizes, with a diameter of more than 200 mm and less than 2 meters. This is the main product of XiBei Bearing. In recent years, XiBei Bearing has mainly focused on railway bearings. This exhibition XiBei Bearing brought some railway series bearing products.Like The ones displayed there are for subways, including A-type and B-type vehicles, railway freight cars, such as 60-ton vehicles and 70-ton vehicles. There is also a 100-ton vehicle product that is undergoing test verification and is not brought.
The booth displayed wind turbine insulation bearings that replace imports. This is a product with relatively high technical content. The inner ring is ceramic coated. This is a cooperative project between XiBei Bearing and Xi'an Jiaotong University. It is also a key research and development project of the company. At present, this project has been completed. Now XiBei Bearing can independently produce this kind of ceramic coated bearings. In the past, the coating technology needed to be outsourced, and the cost was very high. Now it has completed independent research and development and mass production. Including coal scraper bearings, the localization rate of coal machinery bearings in the domestic main equipment industry is relatively low, and we still need to vigorously develop domestic alternative products. For example, the localization rate of these petroleum machinery bearings on display is now over 90%. We have also continued to focus on this aspect in recent years.
2) Equipment supporting exports: This part of the exhibit is mainly exported to the United States. This is an oil fracturing pump bearing; and this mud pump bearing is exported to the Middle East with domestic application equipment, such as the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia; some products are mainly exported to North America, and some are exported to Russia. The scope of export products has been expanding in recent years. We have a long history of making spherical plain bearings, starting in the 1980s. We interrupted the business for a few years and started making them again in 2012. We currently have many varieties of spherical plain bearings, with more than 1,500 of them. Our main application areas are still large and extra-large products, such as those used in the ship lock hoists of the Three Gorges Water Conservancy Project. Domestically, we also make them in relatively large sizes, with a diameter of about 1 meter.
