Joint innovation breakthrough! Changyuan Yunming New Energy and other companies proposed a new technology for repairing wind turbine bearing wear

According to a report on December 12, 2024, the latest announcement from the State Intellectual Property Office shows that Changyuan Yunming New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., together with Henan Branch of China Three Gorges New Energy (Group) Co., Ltd., Zhengzhou Hydraulic Machinery Co., Ltd. and Sheqi Guohe Wind Power Co., Ltd., jointly submitted an innovative patent application. The invention, entitled "Metal repair device and method for wind turbine bearing wear", has a publication number of CN 119103035 A and an application date of November 2024.

The patent focuses on solving the wear problem of wind turbine bearings caused by long-term operation, and provides a new metal repair technology and equipment. The repair system described in the invention includes a wind turbine main shaft, which is provided with two mounting locations and is equipped with bearing seat assemblies on these locations. Each bearing seat assembly consists of a housing, which contains a bearing unit, and is equipped with interfaces for inputting gas and grease, and ports for extracting old grease. In addition, electromagnetic components are installed on the outside of the housing to assist the repair process.

The design of the bearing unit is one of the key points of this invention. It includes an inner ring installed on the main shaft of the wind turbine, surrounded by a cage on the outside, and a circulation mechanism inside the cage, with a series of rollers distributed. The rollers are covered with an outer ring fixed to the housing, and there is a contraction structure inside the outer ring. Through this design, the technology effectively reduces excessive wear caused by roller sliding and improves the working efficiency and life of the bearing.

This invention not only solves an important problem in the field of wind power generation, but also provides a feasible and efficient bearing maintenance solution for related companies, which helps to extend the service life of equipment and reduce maintenance costs.
