ZWZ bearing reaches new heights with remarkable scientific and technological innovation
Recently, the China Machinery Industry Federation organized experts at the Wafangdian Research and Development Center to review 7 scientific and technological achievements of the ZWZ. The results showed that two of the achievements reached the international advanced level, and five of them were in the leading position in China. According to reporters, among these scientific and technological achievements, "Research and Application of Key Technologies for Serialized Chinese Standard Subway Axle Box Bearings" and "Research and Development of High-rigidity and Long-life Precision Cross Tapered Roller Bearings" were rated as internationally leading. The former has shown significant innovation in the research and development of subway axle box bearings and has completely independent intellectual property rights; the latter has attracted much attention for its technological breakthroughs in the fields of high rigidity and long life, and also has independent intellectual property rights.
In addition, five projects, including "Research and Application of Self-aligning Cylindrical Roller Bearings for Large Calenders", "Research and Application of High-load Self-aligning Floating Continuous Casting Machine Series Bearings", "Research and Development of Digital Design and Simulation Technology for High-performance Bearings and Its Engineering Application", "Application and Promotion of New Structures and New Processes of Wind Power Main Shaft Bearing Cages", and "Research and Development of Ultra-precision Low Starting Torque Long-life Machine Tool Rotary Table Bearings", have reached the top domestic level.
The appraisal results of this scientific and technological achievement fully reflect the continuous cultivation of Wafangdian City in the technological innovation of the bearing industry. As an important industrial town in southern Liaoning, Wafangdian City has outstanding performance in the county economy across the country with its strong industrial foundation. According to the 2024 CCID National Top 100 County Ranking, Wafangdian ranks 58th, ranking first among counties in the Northeast. In recent years, the city has injected strong impetus into the high-quality development of the bearing industry by implementing the strategy of "industrially strengthening the city and industrially developing the city" with the help of various measures such as technology improvement, platform construction and quality management.
