CRRC Qishuyan Institute's "Shagohuang" Wind Power Full-Spectrum Gearbox Product Launch and Baotou Wind Power Transmission Company's Production Completion Ceremony Successfully Held!

On November 29th, the "Striving for the Top, Aspiring to Champion" CRRC Qishuyan Institute "Shagohuang" Wind Power Full-Spectrum Gearbox Product Launch and Baotou CRRC Qishuyan Institute Wind Power Transmission Company's (hereinafter referred to as "Baotou Wind Power Transmission Company") Production Completion Ceremony were held in Baotou City, Inner Mongolia.

In his speech, Wang Chenglong stated that for over sixty years, CRRC Qishuyan Institute has always kept in mind the "major national interests" and adhered to the principle of "serving the country through industry," becoming the only domestic manufacturer specializing in the research and development of high-speed train gear transmission systems, forging the shining corporate brand of "high-speed rail gearboxes." The construction and production of Baotou Wind Power Transmission Company have demonstrated "CRRC speed," showcased "Baotou efficiency," and highlighted "Qishan quality." In the future, Qishuyan Institute will always uphold the core values of "integrity and righteousness, doing good and achieving success," and with the fighting spirit of "responsibility, excellence, innovation, and leapfrogging," it will persist in standing shoulder to shoulder with customers, walking alongside partners, and resonating with the times, "ensuring that every gearbox carries the quality of high-speed rail."

In his speech, Yu Weiping pointed out that from the water towns of southern China to the grasslands of northern Xinjiang, from high-speed rail tracks to wind farms, CRRC employees have consistently written the legend of "Made in China" through their actions. Through historical refinement and accumulation, we have enabled China's high-speed rail to achieve a leap from catching up to leading the world. The "Shagohuang" full-spectrum gearbox released today maintains the "precision and reliability" of high-speed rail quality while demonstrating the "tough character" of adapting to special environments. We will continue to be guided by "CRRC quality," extending the pursuit of excellence in the high-speed rail field to the wind power industry, using the craftsman's spirit of "ten years of honing a sword" to create high-quality products that customers can trust and the market can be satisfied with. At the meeting, representatives from the owners, OEMs, and associations delivered speeches. Zhang Zhonghai, Senior Vice President of Mingyang Group, Zhang Wenhong, Deputy Manager of the Supply Chain Department of Inner Mongolia Energy Group, and Qi Hesheng, Executive Vice President and Secretary-General of the Wind Power Equipment Branch of the China Agricultural Machinery Industry Association, spoke in turn.

Zhang Baosong, deputy general manager of the Wind Power Equipment Division of CRRC Qishuyan Institute, introduced the "Shagohuang" wind power full-spectrum gearbox products, and shared the core technological breakthroughs achieved by integrating high-speed rail transmission technology and addressing environmental pain points such as high wind and sand and extreme temperature differences.

As a high-end new energy equipment manufacturing base and regional service center meticulously built by CRRC Qishuyan Institute in the "Three Norths" region (Northwest, North, and Northeast China) in response to the national "dual-carbon" strategy and to implement CRRC Group's "dual-track, dual-cluster" industrial layout, Baotou Wind Power Transmission Company was established in December 2024 and put into operation in September 2025. The project has a total investment of 600 million yuan, with an initial investment of 120 million yuan, covering an area of 25,000 square meters. It is equipped with the largest 20MW wind turbine gearbox comprehensive loading test bench in the "Three Norths" region, and has the capacity to produce 800 sets of 3-20MW doubly-fed and semi-direct-drive wind turbine gearboxes annually.

The launch of the full spectrum of gearbox products for "Sand, Gobi, and Desert" wind power projects and the commencement of production at Baotou Wind Power Transmission Company are concrete actions taken by CRRC Qishuyan Institute to implement the national "dual-carbon" strategy, integrate into CRRC's "one core, three poles, and multiple points" business layout, and actively respond to the national initiative to build large-scale wind power and photovoltaic bases in the sandy, Gobi, and desert regions.
