According to the Dalian Daily, the wind power bearing company of ZWZ Group recently produced two sets of spindle bearing for 4.8m shield machines, which passed the customer's on-site acceptance.

The shield machine is widely used in subway, railway and other tunnel projects. The spindle bearing bears the main load during the operation of the shield machine, and is a key component of the cutter head drive system. Previously, it had long relied on imports. According to Wu Guangfu, leader of the spindle bearing project team of the shield machine of ZWZ Group, the spindle bearing of the shield machine is difficult to process and requires high precision. In particular, the heat treatment deformation of the super long raceway, the hardness and the depth, uniformity and consistency of the hardened layer are far higher than the traditional slewing bearing. Poor control will directly affect the service life of the bearing. In order to ensure the timely delivery of products, the Wind Power Bearing Company opened up a green production channel, adopted new processing technology, and engineers and technicians guided operators to debug parameters and adjust tooling on site, thus realizing the timely production of products.
