Schaeffler and Porsche start to second half of the season

Following victories in the season’s pinnacle event at Le Mans and in their home round at the Nürburgring, Porsche and Schaeffler will be contesting this year’s first FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) overseas race next weekend. Their aim at Circuit of The Americas at Austin/Texas is to clinch the third win of the season for the 919 Hybrid.
Schaeffler is partnering with the sports car manufacturer Porsche again in 2015. Thanks to two victories and five additional podium places in the first four in a total of eight races of the season the Stuttgart-based brand is leading the manufacturers’ standings. In round five, the driver squad with Mark Webber is set on continuing this string of success. The 6-hour race in Texas will start on Saturday at 17.00, local time (Sunday, 00:00 CEST).
