ZheJiang Changsheng Bearings wins patent for new porous air bearing to simplify production process

Zhejiang Changsheng Sliding Bearing Co., Ltd. recently successfully registered a utility model patent entitled "A porous air bearing that is easy to process", with the announcement number CN221374250U and the application date of December 2023. The patent abstract points out that this porous air bearing design that is easy to process includes a substrate and a sealing cover plate. The substrate includes a main body, a loading surface, an air outlet surface, an air cavity unit, an air inlet, and at least one throttle hole located on the air outlet surface. The air cavity unit consists of an air cavity main body and a cover plate mounting groove, wherein the outer contour of the cover plate mounting groove is larger than the outer contour of the air cavity main body, and the sealing cover plate is placed in the cover plate mounting groove. Each throttle hole is connected to the air cavity main body, and the distance between the end of the air cavity main body facing the air outlet surface and the air outlet surface is maintained between 0.5 and 3 mm. This design allows the air bearing to be manufactured using conventional machining equipment, thereby greatly reducing the difficulty of machining porous air bearings.
